Client Service Internship: The Client Service Internship serves to introduce the intern to all aspects of Crisis Control Ministry. Interns will learn about the structure of Crisis Control and will gain knowledge of the community resources and interagency relationships that assist in the Ministry’s mission. Interns will also work with individual clients through the interview process, where they will develop skills to assess client needs and determine eligibility for services.

A brief outline of tasks follows:
• Gain a basic understanding of Crisis Control Ministry through a general ministry overview and review of various handbooks
• Conduct interviews of Crisis Control staff members to better understand the range of responsibilities within a non-profit agency
• Observe vital departments of the agency, including the food room and the pharmacy
• Review standard forms and policies
• Learn all facets of the client service areas
• Interview clients and determine eligibility for services
